I only meant to say...

I Only Meant To Say...

Recessed into my imagination
What didn't we do back then?
Success yielded to frustration
What did we lack my friend?

And if we needed another day
to make our embellishment...
That was not greed in our way
Nor was it time misspent...

It satisfies my memories...
It is just as it ought to be
Imprinted lies in history...
I trusted as I sought to see

So life is the greatest mystery
We are the latest wave to see
Ripples spreading from the sea
Grooves on records play softly...

It's still only yesterday today
Apply a spark to that I say
as Pink Floyd begins to play
A religion if in another way...
