IS LIFE A JOKE?

        Is Life A Joke?            by ~ W.R. Schaefer Jr.~*

Indespensible certainty...
Two cents for what you think of me?
An indescribable pattern of thought...
With no objective, you haven't got

I am afraid to ask what you learned in school today
It's not so much that I fear, concerning fools at play

Reprehensible humanity!
Much more worth, what we can't see...
They realize they can train your mind
Their conditioning has left you blind...

Should I feel the impending death of society?
Why don't you steal the final breath of me?

Inexplicably; defying comprehension
Society is subject to your grotesque experimentation
They go quietly, whispering about mystical intervention
Antibiotic medicines can help me change, the intention of my invention

Certainly, we as unaffected people can't understand the pain...
Openly, can we reject those who seem to have nothing to gain?

It remains the same way from that, which it came...
Cannot help but look around, for anything to blame
Did this problem begin in the openly defensive school?
More CIA, or perhaps the medicine? Are we all fools?

For the early years of life, we are only children then...
I wish I could return to the early 1960s once again...

Perplexity is confusion to an unknown degree
Blurring the lines so we can't only not see,
but whether or not, if we can even agree
They say if you look too close, the Devil will bite off your nose!
